Bilingual Health Educator

Melissa joined ASAC in 2021 as a bilingual health educator to help and serve the Latino community. She is a native of Chattanooga, TN, and has a strong Latino cultural background, as she has been raised with her family from Mexico, being bilingual and bicultural. Melissa has the experience and a background in early childhood education. Before joining ASAC, she worked for 7 years as a Spanish immersion educator for a local school.

Melissa has a strong passion for helping all communities, her mission is to support and help others but also serve as a voice and a resource to her Latinx community. At an early age, Melissa enjoyed volunteering and giving back to her community and nonprofits. Melissa is thankful and enthusiastic to have the opportunity to serve her community and be part of ASAC’s mission to help and educate young minds and women so they can reach their full potential on their terms.In her personal time, Melissa enjoys adventuring new places, spending time with family and friends, and spoiling her puppy Nooga.
