The PATH Framework, developed by Patty Cason, RN, MS, FNP-BC, is a patient-centered program designed to aid healthcare and service providers to have more meaningful conversations with clients/patients about their reproductive goals and pregnancy intentions. Utilizing a shared decision-making model, the PATH can help patients clarify their own reproductive goals and allow patients to develop a sense of autonomy in their own reproductive health. The PATH Framework training equips providers with the purpose behind the framework, walking through the framework, and how to effectively engage with patients while centering the patient’s desires first.
