Mandy joined A Step Ahead Chattanooga as the Executive Director in June of 2021. She received a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Centenary College of Louisiana and holds a Master’s Degree in Sociology from Louisiana State University with a concentration in socioeconomic inequality and gender studies.

Mandy has leadership experience from the corporate, academic, and nonprofit sectors. Prior to relocating to Chattanooga in the summer of 2017, Mandy served as the Associate Executive Director of one of Louisiana’s oldest and largest domestic violence agencies. In that role, Mandy helped lead a team of 25+ staff members in an effort to empower survivors, prevent relationship violence, and promote justice for victims of domestic and dating violence, their children, and the broader seven-county region the agency served.

Mandy is passionate about ensuring that everyone has equitable access to the resources they need to live with a high degree of self-determination, which is what drew her to the work of A Step Ahead Chattanooga.

In her free time, Mandy enjoys spending time with her friends and family, hiking, reading, and painting. She has also never been known to turn down a good cup of coffee.
