Emily, a Rome, GA native, moved to Chattanooga in 2015. She taught Spanish at a public elementary school for two years before she and her husband, Teo, launched Language South, a language immersion summer camp. Emily serves as the organization’s Executive Director. She also teaches Spanish at the Chattanooga School of Language.
Emily has a background in youth development. She earned a B.A. in Spanish from Elon University, and an M.Ed. from UTC. She also enjoys connecting with the Chattanooga community through her involvement in non-profits like The Women’s Fund of Greater Chattanooga, CALEB, and Big Brothers Big Sisters.
